About The Author

Yank Shi, born in China in 1941, has led a life rich in curiosity, learning, and creativity. He began teaching English in Yantai, China, and later earned a master’s degree in Linguistics from Fudan University in Shanghai. His career then took him to the Dalian Institute of Foreign Languages before moving to the United States in 1986. There, he earned master’s degrees in Linguistics and Fine Arts at the University of Colorado at Boulder, merging his love for language and art.

Yank’s path took an unexpected turn into the business world, where he ran a semiconductor manufacturing company for 20 years. Now retired, he devotes his time to writing, drawing from his vast experiences.

He has authored three books: “My Three Human Lives,” a reflective memoir; “Interstellar Roaming,” a cosmic adventure; and “World’s End and the Sea Angle,” a blend of reality and fantasy. Through his writing, Yank continues to share his unique perspective on life and the universe.
